The paper analyses the current situation of PhD students and post-doctoral researchers in Slavic Studies, with a special focus on the Italian context. In the summer of 2024, the Young Slavists Collective sent an anonymous questionnaire to a sample of young Italian scholars. The main aim was to explore and discuss some relevant issues by collecting their personal experiences, beliefs, and criticisms.
