Zygmunt Wasilewski (Siekierno, 1865 – Wisła, 1948) was a Polish publicist and National Democratic politician. He served as a senator during the Third Term on behalf of the National Party. He pursued legal studies at universities in Warsaw, Kyiv, and Saint Petersburg, earning his degree in 1889. Wasilewski was involved in the emerging National Democracy movement from its beginnings. He worked as editor-in-chief of the weekly “Głos” until 1899 and, from 1902 to 1915, in Lwów, he led “Słowo Polskie”. In Saint Petersburg, he edited the socio-political weekly “Sprawa Polska” until the end of 1917. After the Bolshevik Revolution, he edited “Przegląd Polski” in Kyiv from early 1918 until September of that year. In November 1918, he returned to Warsaw and became editor-in-chief of “Gazeta Warszawska”, a position he held until March 1925. From 1925 to 1939, he edited “Myśl Narodowa”. From 1930 to 1935, Wasilewski served as a senator.
