Author Biography
Pavlo Fylypovych (1891-1937) was a Ukrainian poet and literary scholar. Together with Mykola Zerov, he taught Ukrainian literature at Kyiv University. In his literary works, which from 1917 he wrote exclusively in Ukrainian, he followed neoclassical poetics. In 1935, Fylypovych was arrested. He was one of the many Ukrainian writers and intellectuals killed on 3 November 1937 in Sandarmokh, Karelia.
