Author Biography
Sergey Neklyudov is Professor, Doctor of Philology and Research Director of the Center for Typology and Semiotics of Folklore (Russian State University for the Humanities). His main research interests are: theory of folklore; contemporary folklore; ritualistic, mythological and epic traditions of the Mongolian peoples. He has taught theoretical folklore, contemporary folklore, ritual-mythological and folklore traditions of the Mongolian peoples at the Russian State University for the Humanities (Moscow), at the universities of Canada (Quebec, 2000, 2002), Germany (Bremen, 2008), Brazil (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, 2006, 2011), Estonia (Tartu, 1999, 2012), Poland (Torun, 2013), Finland (Helsinki, Turku, 2014). He is the author of 8 monographs and more than 600 other publications, among which: The Structure of a Fairy Tale [Структура волшебной сказки, 2001, with E. Meletinskii, E. Novik, D.
