Author Biography
Ilaria Aletto obtained her PhD in Comparative Cultures and Literatures from Roma Tre University, with a thesis on the influence of James Joyce’s Ulysses on the aesthetics of Sergei Eisenstein. Her publications have investigated the reception of Joyce’s oeuvre in Russian literature, the autobiographical texts of Velimir Khlebnikov, the stage directions of Mikhail Lermontov’s Masquerade, and the Italian translations of the works of Ivan Turgenev. She has been on the editorial board of the journal “Russica Romana” (2015-2018). She is currently Adjunct Professor of Russian Language and Literature at the Universities of Pisa and Rome (Sapienza, Roma Tre).
