Author Biography
Dmitrij Merežkovskij (1865-1941) was a Russian writer, poet and literary critic. He was one of the founders of the Symbolist movement. Among his works: the trilogy Christ and Antichrist, the essays Eternal Companions and Tolstoi and Dostoevskii, several collections of poems, the Russian translation of works by Sophocle, E. A. Poe, J. W. Goethe.
